Selostuksessa kerrotaan, missä asennusurakan vaiheessa on syytä kiinnittää näihin asioihin huomiota, jotta tästä eteenpäin jälkitöiden määrä saataisiin minimoitua. In this Bachelor´s thesis, the construction of a large-panel concrete residential building was studied and observed in Kalasatama in Helsinki. The construction process was carried out on the construction site of Uudenmaan Mestari-Rakentajat Oy. Firstly the installation of precast concrete frame was observed. At the same time the target was to explore the installation practices and installation stages of the precast concrete frame.
The aim was to find out the reasons for supplementary work related to precast concrete construction. Following the installation work from start to finish, the author familiarized with supplementary work and the working methods causing them.
In this thesis the different stages of the element installation are examined step by step. Furthermore, issues that cause significant amounts of supplementary works were discussed in addition to the functioning installation methods.
During the installation process supplementary work and the reasons for them were documented. Supplementary works caused by the element construction work were analyzed in order to discover the specific kind of supplementary works that could have been avoided during the installation process.
From the established facts a report with instructions was made which shows the reasons or the causes of supplementary works. The report describes in what phase of the installation process it is worth paying attention to these facts, so that the amount of supplementary works will be minimized
Trust, Social Presence and Customer Loyalty in Social Virtual Worlds
Social virtual worlds (SVWs) have drawn substantial attention in business and academia. This research focuses on how trust affects customer loyalty in the SVW setting. Specifically, this study pinpoints how trust in SVW staff and other users influences the continuous use and purchase behaviour in SVWs. Additionally, we examine the influence of social presence on the two aspects trust and customer loyalty. The research model is tested with PLS using a sample of 2111 Finnish Habbo users. The two facets of trust are important antecedents on customer loyalty, yet differing in their effect. Social presence is a strong determinant of trust but also a direct antecedent of customer loyalty. Together, trust and social presence account for a considerable amount of variance in continuous use and purchase intention
The lost “E” in Clustering: An Australian Case Study
The research investigated the use of information communication technology within collaborative relationships in a multi industry cluster in Australia. The study found that collaborative business relationships were present in the cluster, however the role of ICT in these relationships was not significant due to a number of industry characteristics displayed across the cluster, such as secrecy, a high need for security and low ICT adoption
Digital Natives’ Purchasing Behavior in Habbo Hotel
Purchasing virtual products and services in virtual worlds is a rapidly growing form of online consumer behavior, especially among the digital natives. The paper examines why teens spend real money in virtual goods and services. We empirically investigate the reasons for virtual purchasing behavior in world‟s most popular social virtual world, Habbo Hotel. Using content analysis, we classify the reasons for purchasing into four higher order gratifications, namely elevated experience, hedonic and social factors as well as functional activities. The results demonstrate that virtual purchasing is a vehicle for enhancing and customizing the valued aspects in the user experience

A bibliometric analysis of extended key account management literature
Key account management (KAM) has played an important role in business, and this study reviews key account management research using bibliometric techniques. This review includes 373 KAM relevant articles published in 68 journals between 1979 and 2016. In our analysis, we extend the discussion on KAM literature by highlighting areas such as the roles of technology and conflict as well as relationship planning and implementation. We discuss the value of co-creation, inter-organizational design elements, and dyad-level performance measures. We examine five distinctive time-periods and find that KAM relevant literature has progressed 1) from selling and relationship-building approaches to key network management, 2) from network innovation to governance, 3) from network-level performance to co-creation of business solutions and values, 4) from product and service performance to incorporating sustainability. Finally, we present the fifth transition based on a network-view of KAM and identify future research aimed at integrating areas such as network-based orientation, applications of organizational theories, organizational innovativeness, network competence for optimal structure and processes, network-based KAM teams, value-sharing mechanisms, co-created value measurement, and value sustenance within networks. We identify areas of future research and expect the adoption and application of key account management concepts to grow across multiple disciplinary fields.Peer reviewe
Digitalization of the buyer-seller relationship in the steel industry
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to cast light on the nature of the digitalization process that occurs when digital technologies are adopted in buyer-seller relationships. Design/methodology/approach The study features a case study from the steel processing industry. Findings The present research builds on and extends the interaction approach to the context of buyer-seller relationship digitalization process. The study explicates the interrelated elements of digital infrastructure, digital communication and degree of digitalization of the buyer-seller relationship. Research limitations/implications The study aims at theoretical generalization and thus produces conceptual understanding that is to some extent applicable to various contexts. The generalization of the empirical insights to other process-focused industries is to some extent possible. However, further research in versatile empirical contexts is needed to validate the results. Practical implications For managers, the study presents a success case of digital technologies use for improving a buyer-seller relationship. Originality/value The originality of the present research is in the way it depicts how a buyer-seller relationship is gradually digitalized in successive digital technology adoptions, that is, a virtuous cycle of digitalization, that creates and alters the digital infrastructure and digital communication processes between the buyer and the seller resulting in different outcomes (degrees of digitalization in the buyer-seller relationship).Peer reviewe
